Well The Masters has been and gone and it will be another year to see the lush greenness of the fairways and Amen Corner. What a tournament indeed! Scheffler on top form, cool as ice bagging another Major for their trophy cabinet.
Have you been to The Masters? It is one hundred percent on my bucket list and need to somehow make it happen.
Drumroll - how can you bag tickets?
It is super important that you create an account with The Masters golf tournament website and you can then enter into a ballot. Back in the day I understand it was a lot easier to get tickets, today I have been told the odds are around 200-1. If lucky to be drawn in the ballot, tickets will cost around 140 USD per tournament day.
From a corporate side, this is an A Lister event. Tickets and packages will be sky high in price but the hospitality will likely be out of this world. I understand there is a specific area that has practice greens similar to the actual course named Berckmans Place with iconic pin positions.
What goes on at the Masters Souvenir shop? Well this is an Aladdins cave of golf merchandise. Having been to The Open up in Hoylake in 2023 I can assure you will likely exit with less dollars than when you entered, a golf pin flag (at the very least) and most likely a golf gnome! A ‘golf gnome’ I hear you shout with a mixture of mockery, delight and intrigue. At The Masters 2024 this item walked itself off the shelves by midday most days and sold out big time. So much so, eBay was selling such items for several times the original selling price. Would you buy one? The Captain would certainly buy three!
Catch up next weekend. We will take a look at the new Callaway AI Smoke Paradigm clubs.
